New England High Country, NSW - October 2015

After our wedding in October last year, we went on a driving honeymoon down to NSW. This is just a small selection of the many photos I took!

We spent most of our time in the New England High Country. If ever you get a chance to explore the area it is definitely worth it!

Some of the places we visited were Tenterfield, Glenn Innes, Armidale, Dorrigo, Tamworth, Nundle, Bathurst, Gundagai, Tumut and lots of other places in between.

(Please note the photos aren't really in any particular order)

We saw a lot of picturesque little creeks and big gum trees like the ones
in this photo. So peaceful. Taken between Armidale and Dorrigo.

How beautiful are these dairy cows!

So this was a frequent sight while Anthony and I were on our honeymoon -
window down and camera out

I love the texture in the grass in this photo

One of the many cute little old sheds we found on our adventure.

I was taking photos of these rocks (from outside the fence) and the owner
came along and told us we could go into the paddock to get closer to the rocks
if we wanted to. So we did and this was one of the end results
:)

The milking shed at Saumarez Homestead, Armidale.

This was taken at the Tenterfield Railway Museum.

On our way home from our honeymoon it wasn't hard to tell when we
were back in Queensland - it went from green to brown almost instantly.
This photo was taken on the Darling Downs.

We did approx 6,000km over 2 weeks and we visited so many places I can't remember where a lot of these photos were taken! Lucky we kept a journal of our trip ;)

This was an old shed I found on my quick trip
to NSW with my dad earlier this year.

Another photo from the quick NSW trip...
Those of you who check out my blog
regularly will know how much I love old sheds!

This is one of the beautiful big trees we
saw while we were in NSW.

I love the way this photo turned out!
(These were the whole reason we were down in NSW - Black Angus cattle).

How beautiful are these two heifers!

I just love old stuff! I found this out at mum & dad's place...
I've got my eye on it for my garden

I'll admit it... I nearly dropped my camera in the trough taking this photo!
Caught it just in time - phew!!
I think this shot has a pretty good chance of appearing in my 2017 Calendar ;)

I do love black & whites :)

This little dude was quite a hit on my Facebook page!
He was keeping nice and cool in one of my bromeliads and
was quite tiny! (Tinier than what he looks in the photo)

Photos from NSW August 2013

In August 2013 I went down to NSW with my then boyfriend (now husband) and his dad and uncle.
And I never shared the photos with you!!! So here they are :)

I love the road and the big old trees in this photo :)

I have to admit... I have a fascination with sheep! There aren't many around
Emerald where I live, so it's always a treat for me when we go to sheep country :)

So much contrast! Love it!

How beautiful is this old shed!!

And another one :)

And another one! So many down in NSW.

The canola crops are so stunning. Again, a special sight for me :)

August & September Facebook Photos

Can you hear the weekend coming? ;)

There's something magical
about dew drops on the buffel grass :)

This is a photo from the beginning of the year when it was green!
Thankfully we have been getting some more rain the last few weeks so it is
getting green again :)

These cuties were watching me through the yards.
I thought the rails made a pretty good frame

Here's a bit of cuteness for you!!

Horses are such beautiful creatures!

January Facebook Photos

We found this beautiful little spot between Mooloolaba and Montville
while we were on holidays. I so wish I had a shed like this in my
backyard! And I don't mind the old cruiser too :)

Can you see the grass growing in the floor boards? ;)

We have been extremely lucky to get some rain here at home since Christmas.
If you have been missing out I have been praying that you will get some soon!
This awful drought has to break eventually, and each day we are a day closer to the end of it.

Life's better in the country :

How beautiful was this sunset (taken 09/01/15)!

How beautiful was this sunset (taken 09/01/15)!

I don't get to drive past these beautiful gums anymore! I moved into town :(
Still adjusting (and unpacking!) but getting there :)

How awesome is this sky!
The light rays (not sure what else to call them?) were incredible!

We have been getting some beautiful sunsets here lately!
Here's one from 30th December.
